New Mexico insurance law
NM requires the following coverages- Liability bodily injury $25,000 per person and $50,000 per accident. Property damage liability $10,000 per accident.
Uninsured motorist can be rejected ONLY if you sign a UM Rejection form.
Liability Coverage
Will pay for the other person's property damage and medical cost if you are at fault in an accident up to your liability limits.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage
Helps pay for damages caused by another driver who is not insured or does not have enough insurance to coverage all damages and medical bills.
Medical Coverage
Pays for medical costs from an auto accident for you and anyone in your vehicle at the time of the collision.
Comprehensive Coverage
Pays to replace or repair your vehicle for theft, vandalism or fire.
Collision Coverage
Covers your vehicle if it collides with another vehicle or object.
